Many of the skills needed for technology, engineering, and entrepreneurship will require training up–meaning that specific skill acquisition happens prior to hiring. Apprenticeships offer an opportunity for workers to hone the highly transferrable soft skills like problem solving, critical thinking and entrepreneurial skills to a workplace culture.
